A Healthy Diet!

We provide a carefully planned and well balanced diet. All meals are freshly prepared to suit all dietary requirements. As part of our healthy eating plan, we provide water with each meal and milk at regular intervals during the day. A copy of our mealtimes can be found in the induction pack or on the notice-board along with our menu.

We see mealtimes as a very social part of the nursery day, a time to encourage good hygiene and understanding of food. Our mealtimes are not rushed and children are encouraged to choose food from daily menus as well as take turns in serving drinks and sharing fruit. All good practise for independence.

Celebrations, Excursions and Visitors

Your child’s world holds a wealth of new experiences. So as to expand upon these we aim to provide activities outside the nursery environment, i.e., visits to local places in the community; the library, the park, the shops etc. We also celebrate festivals from around the world and invite appropriate visitors to the nursery, all of whom are linked to our various themes and projects.

Our newsletters will inform you of specific occasions, all of which you are welcome to join us!

Lilliput Farmyard

We also have our very own ‘Lilliput Farmyard’ featuring our rabbit, guinea pigs and chickens which our children help to care for, giving them an opportunity to learn more about animals through real life experience!
